Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
